ECO KIT SUMMARY:

A dupatch-based, Early Release Patch kit exists for HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1B
that contains solutions to the following problem(s):

Customers running Tru64 UNIX 5.1B-1/PK3 may encounter a problem
relating to the use of a faulty version of dupatch. Under certain
circumstances, 5.1B-1/PK3 customers are unable to delete any CSP
using the dupatch Patch Delete function.

The ERP identified in this EA provides an appropriate dupatch tool
for 5.1B-1/PK3.

Customers can also delete CSPs by using the dupatch command line. For
example:

/usr/sbin/dupatch -delete -name "Joe" -note "delete" -patch C123.45

  where
 - "Joe" is the name of the admin (used for log purposes)
 - C123.45 is an example patch number

Target Audience:

Customers running 5.1B-1/PK3 that find they are unable to delete a CSP, or
are
planning to upgrade to 5.1B-3.

The Patch Kit Installation Instructions and the Patch Summary and Release
Notes documents provide patch kit installation and removal instructions
and a summary of each patch. Please read these documents prior to
installing patches on your system.

The patches in this ERP kit will also be available in the next mainstream
patch kit - HP Tru64 UNIX V5.1B-5.
