ECO KIT SUMMARY:
A dupatch-based, Early Release Patch kit exists for HP TruCluster Server V5.1B-2
that contains solutions to the following problem(s):
This Early Release Patch (ERP) fixes several tape-related and other drd
problems found in Tru64 UNIX 5.1B-2/PK4:
1. On deleting a tape device, the ref counts for the device were found to
be incorrect. These incorrect ref counts prevented the device from being
deleted properly.
2. The DRD_KGS_WAIT_TRANS_DONE flag was left set after the transaction was
done. This is a minor problem that could have been caused due to the
problem with the ref counts.
3. A drd ref count is left on when a cluster member loses access to a tape
and then regains it. This could prevent a customer from being able to
delete the tape when the cluster regains from the transition.
4. On certain types of media errors, a tape device could be left in an
unusable state. The device will always return "busy" even though no
transaction is in progress on that device.
5. When an upgrade is done to TCR 5.1B-2/PK4, the cluster could lose
access to backplain RAID devices (e.g., KZPAC, KZPCC, etc).
6. A kernel memory fault panic experienced when no local devt is available
for a device that is locally accessible.
7. A problem experienced when all paths to a disk are lost and a persistent
reservation (i.e., barrier) is in progress.
8. A deadlock situation in open/close when all paths to a disk are lost.
9. A deadlock problem experienced when local connectivity is regained when
an open is in progress.
